My name is Courtney Gann, and I’m so excited to be back for my 4th season as Head Coach. I am also thrilled to have my sister, Christina on deck with me this year! I grew up swimming in this same summer swim league and coached for different teams in the league during college. At my first teaching job, I was also the Head Coach for our high school’s inaugural swim team. For my “day job”, I work as an online professor. Our family looks forward to Chenoweth Swim Team for the entire year, and I can't wait for another season. Go Chargers!
My name is Christina Cooper, and I am so excited to join my sister, Courtney, on the pool deck this summer! I too swam in the WCSL my whole swim career, and swam for NAC in high school before going to swim for Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina. From there, I fell in love with coaching and earned a degree in Exercise Science. I have coached numerous age groups and senior level groups at Dynamo Swim Club and NAC as well as several summer league teams both in TN and NC. I have taught swim lessons since I was 15 and my husband and I have been in the pool industry for over 10 years. I now stay at home taking care of our 3 boys, Henry (6) and Brayden (4) who will be on the team for the first time, and Colby (18 months) who will be cheering at swim meets!
Hi Chargers! My name is Caroline Preble, and I am a rising junior at Furman University! I have been a part of the Chenoweth Chargers swim team since 2nd grade, and this will be my seventh year coaching. I swam competitively for eleven years (butterfly was my favorite stroke!), and some of my best memories are from summer swim. I can’t wait for the season to start and to meet everyone.
Will Coulam has been swimming for the Chenoweth Chargers for 14 years—since he moved to TN at age 4. Will graduated from Brentwood High where he swam for the Brentwood Aqua Bruins including at the state meet this year. In his spare time, Will is an Eagle Scout, a member of the BHS marching band, and will play just about any sport. He is very excited to be coaching the 7-8 and 9-10 swimmers again this year.
Tye has just graduated from Brentwood High and is very excited to attend the University of Alabama this fall! This is his 13th year swimming with the Chargers and is excited to finally (officially) be a part of the coaching staff. Roll Tide and Go Chargers!
