Swimming is a family sport!

Because it takes approximately 40 people to run a home meet and around 25 to run an away meet, we need you (parent, grandparent, babysitter, etc.) to pitch in as a volunteer. There's a job for everyone!

Summer swim is low-pressure and a great way to learn more about the sport. We will train and equip you to succeed and enjoy the position! We ask every family to volunteer for a total of 40 points during the season.

Also, if your teen is interested in helping with the younger age groups during practice, please let us know and email us at [email protected].

New to Volunteering?

Here are some pointers!

The first swim meet you and your swimmer(s) attend will likely look like chaos at first glance.  However, that chaos is actually quite organized with a flow that will start to make sense as the season moves forward.  Our goal is for you to arrive as prepared as possible and knowing where your resources are.  Please ask questions!  Many of the parents on our team are seasoned and can probably at least point you in the right direction.

Being available to your child during their first meet will be ideal in order to ensure that they know where they are suppose to be and are handling the meet well.  There are certainly jobs you can do while you are learning.  You can certainly take this meet to simply support your child's acclimation to a swim meet and pitch in volunteer time at another meet.

Consider starting with the following meet jobs:

  • Camp Captain
  • Heat Ribbons
  • Timer
  • Place Judge
  • Snack Shack
  • The "FUN" Parent

*Job descriptions can be found within the meet job signups.

Please contact management team with any questions about these or for help determining what is appropriate for your family and availability.
